Now is the best time to see C/2014 Q2 Lovejoy! It's glowing at magnitude 4 and still heading north at a rate of about 2° per day. Telescope or binoculars would be handy and viewing charts are available at the link. Or, you can view it online at the Virtual Telescope Project on Jan. 11, 2015 at 2 pm EST / 1 pm CST.

The Virtual Telescope Project imaged Comet 209P/LINEAR on May 20, 2014. The telescope mount tracked the apparent motion of the comet, so stars are trailing.
